Public services portal launches service to assign pregnancy, childbirth benefits to non-working mothers
The Russian Pension Fund and the Ministry of Digital Transformation, Communication and Mass Media have launched a service on the public services portal that enables women to apply for monthly pregnancy and childbirth benefits. Women registered as non-working by employment centers within a year since the date of dismissal are entitled to the benefits. The dismissal needs to be caused by company liquidation or termination of the activity as an individual entrepreneur, a notary or a lawyer.
Pension Fund accepts 713,000 applications for choosing form of social service package
The Pension Fund received 713,500 applications for choosing the form of the social service package this year. The applications were received by Fund client services and multifunctional centers, as well as via accounts on the public services portal and the PFR website from October 1, 2021, till October 1, 2022. Applications could be submitted by persons entitled to the monthly benefit: disabled persons, veterans of WWII and conflicts, persons exposed to radiation, and other categories.
Income of mobilized servicemen not included in assessment of social support entitlements
The income of mobilized servicemen is not included in the needs assessment during the assignment of child benefits since November 1. The new rules are endorsed by the government resolution. They also envisage that the absence of a mobilized serviceman’s income in periods during which the needs are assessed cannot serve as a reason for the denial to assign payments to the serviceman’s family.
1.4 million people choose code word for personal consultations by phone since year beginning
Some 1.4 million persons have chosen a code word to receive personal payment consultations from the call center and regional offices of the Russian Pension Fund since the beginning of this year. The code word allows avoiding a visit to the PFR while verifying personal information about the amount of the assigned pension and social benefits, account information, or maternity capital balance.
Families spend 291-billion-ruble maternity capital funds since year beginning
The Russian Pension Fund has allotted 291 billion rubles to families wishing to spend their maternity capital funds since the beginning of this year. The most popular program option is the improvement of living conditions. Over 662,400 parents that applied to the PFR (55.2% of the entire number) spent their money in such a way, and 258.5 billion rubles were allotted for the purpose.
One-off childbirth benefit can be applied for via public services portal
The Russian Pension Fund and the Ministry of Digital Transformation, Communication and Mass Media have launched a new service on the public services portal to apply for the one-off childbirth benefit. The benefit is available to the child’s parent or guardian. The benefit is assigned on the basis of an application to the Pension Fund, which can now be lodged via the account on the public services portal. The main condition is that the beneficiary is not working, although may be a full-time student of a university or a college.
Online services of Pension Fund available in digital zones of client services
Client services of the Russian Pension Fund have digital self-service zones where online services can be received without specialists or appointment. Guest computers in digital zones come in handy whenever a person cannot use online services from home or there are no appointments to be made with a client office in the coming days but a service is required.
Over 2.6 mln people receive benefits reassigned to Pension Fund from social protection services
Over 2.6 million people have received benefits reassigned to the Russian Pension Fund from social protection services since the beginning of this year. The payments totaled 81.1 billion rubles. About 1.3 million families with children and expectant mothers received various types of social benefits: one-off pregnancy and childbirth payments, childbirth benefits, and monthly benefits for caring for babies younger than 18 months. Another 5,100 pregnant wives and children of conscripts were given one-off payments and monthly benefits.
Voice assistant helps receive information on Pension Fund website
People with impaired eyesight can listen to information about pensions and social benefits on the Russian Pension Fund website by using the voice assistant integrated into the website page for the visually impaired. This page has greater contrast and convenient options for displaying text, page backgrounds and font size.
