The maximum monthly allowance for children aged 8 to 17 is provided for 3.2 million school-age children. The amount of such a payment to families corresponds to the subsistence minimum established for a child in each region.
According to the terms of the allowance, the amount of the payment depends on the income of the parents and can be 50%, 75% or 100% of the subsistence minimum for the child in the region. If, when assigning a benefit in the basic amount (50% of the PM), the income per person in the family is less than the average per capita subsistence minimum, the payment is increased to 75%. If, taking this into account, the average family income still falls short of the subsistence minimum, the Pension Fund sets the allowance at the maximum amount - 100% of the child's regional subsistence minimum.
When assigning the allowance, the criteria of need are applied, which, along with income, include property belonging to the family.
The grant application process is simple. In most cases, an application is enough to make a payment. The remaining information is confirmed by the Pension Fund through state information systems and through interdepartmental interaction.
You can apply for payment on the public services portal, at the PFR and MFC client offices. In Moscow, the payment is appointed by the social security authorities, so parents apply on the Mos.ru portal.
Recall that from January 1, 2023, a single allowance for children and pregnant women will be introduced, which will replace six existing support measures, including payments in connection with the birth or adoption of a child, payments until the child reaches 3 years old, as well as payments for children from 3 to 8 years and from 8 to 17 years.

Depending on the income of the parents, the amount of the allowance will be differentiated: 50%, 75% or 100% of the regional subsistence minimum.
