The Pension Fund is continuing to pay monthly maternity capital benefits to families with the second child. The benefit is currently received by 280,000 families. It is available to maternity capital holders with the family income smaller than two subsistence minimums per capita.
Benefits can be received by application to the Pension Fund. Their size depends on the family’s home region: it is equivalent to the child subsistence minimum in the respective region. Once the second child turns 12 or 24 months, certificate holders need to contact the Pension Fund to confirm the benefit entitlement.
The benefit is paid until the second child turns three.
Families will be able to receive monthly maternity capital benefits for the first child since 2023. At the same time, families can also receive a single benefit, which will also become available in 2023.
