Pension Fund holds international seminar on digital technologies in social affairs
An international seminar on the quality of social service and the use of digital technologies by state-run social institutions took place in Moscow on February 12 and 13. The event, which was held under the aegis of the International Social Security Association (ISSA), was attended by specialists of Russian and foreign ministries and agencies, representatives of Eurasian countries, and international experts from Australia, Germany, Denmark, Indonesia, China, and some other countries.

Social benefits increase by 4.3% on Feb 1
A number of social benefits assigned by the Russian Pension Fund grew on February 1. The monthly benefit, which is received by 15.2 million federal benefit holders, among them disabled persons, war veterans, people exposed to radiation, Heroes of the Soviet Union and Russia, Heroes of Socialist Labor, and some other categories of citizens, increased by 4.3%. The indexation was based on the 2018 inflation rates. The PFR budget assigned 459 billion rubles for paying all types of monthly benefits with due account of their indexation.
Citizens step up use of personal accounts for transferring pension savings
The Russian Pension Fund has finalized the acceptance of applications for transferring pension funds in 2018. A total of 1,956,200 applications were filed last year. Their number reduced by 66% year-on-year.
